James Charles Clement Sr.

James Charles Clement Sr., 85 of Lonoke went to his heavenly home on September 28, 2016. He was born in Furlow Arkansas on October 3, 1930 to Claude and Mary Rice Clement. He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Fred and Lemuel Clement. He is survived by his brothers, Claude Clement Jr. and Daryl Clement (Shelby), one sister-in-law, Dorothy (Bob) Fortney. He is also survived by his children, James Clement Jr. (Beverly), Cynthia Thompson (Paul) and Jeffery Clement. He was a proud Papa of his grandchildren; Brock, Emily, Rachel, Ryan, Rebecca, Chance, Tanner and McKenzie and great-grandchildren; Gabe, Eva and Connor. James was a life-time member of Concord United Methodist Church, attended the University of Arkansas, and served as a Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Masons, The American Legion, Arkansas Cattleman's Association, Concord Cemetery Association Board and Furlow Public Water Authority Board. He was a Commissioner of Arkansas Livestock & Poultry Commission and was the best rural mailman for the United States Postal Service. He was a devoted farmer on the Clement Family Farm raising cattle, as his own children and cutting hay. His generous heart was felt by family and numerous friends. He looked forward to church every Sunday and the Concord Wednesday Senior luncheons. The celebration of life will be held at the Concord United Methodist Church on Sunday, October 2, 2016. Visitation will be at 1 p.m.at the Concord Family Life Center with the memorial service at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Concord United Methodist Church or Concord Cemetery Association.
