Velma Sockwell, 84, of Little Rock, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2016. She leaves to cherish her memory; children, Jawann Hayes, Jimmy Colbert, Sheila Shelton, Malak Hussian and Marcell Williams; siblings, Frank Babb and Odessa Bond, and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held tomorrow, 11 a.m. at Moody Chapel AME Church, 5630 Mabelvale Pike, Little Rock. The family will receive friends today from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
