Flocerfida Hayes

Flocerfida "Prosie" Hayes, age 83, of Jacksonville, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, April 2, 2017. She was born August 24, 1933 in Tabuelan, Cebu, Philippines, to the late Herminigildo and Arig Ruiz. She was a devoted member of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, where she was involved with the Knights of Columbus, St. Jude Altar, and Rosary Society. She was a rosary maker and served as a Eucharistic Minister. She was also a member of the Filipino-American Association. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by several siblings. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Bobby G. Hayes, her daughter Hazel Lednick-Hayes (Lori), Bobby G. Hayes, Jr. and numerous siblings. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., with a rosary following at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, with Father Andy Smith officiating. Entombment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
