Jimmy Hulett

Mr. Jimmy Hulett of Mountain Home, formerly of Swifton, departed this life on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at the age of 67. He was born August 23, 1949 in Newport, the son of Loyd E. Hulett and Verniece (Norris) Hulett. Mr. Hulett was a 1967 graduate of Swifton High School and later graduated from Arkansas State College in Jonesboro. Mr. Hulett was owner of Hulett Farmers Insurance Company in Mountain Home for over 25 years. He retired in 2015. Mr. Hulett was a car enthusiast, and owned several Corvettes during his life. Mr. Hulett had a grateful heart. He was genuinely happy with the good fortune of all, never envious or jealous. He enjoyed fishing, but most of all he loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of the Mountain Home Baptist Church. He was a member and state officer of Gideon International for 20 years. Mr. Hulett was preceded in death by his father, Loyd Hulett; and his mother, Verniece (Norris) Abbott. He is survived by four daughters, Julie Baltz and husband, Tom, of Pensacola, Florida, Jamie Prior and husband, Ryan of Pensacola, Florida, Susan Newman and husband, Casey, of Brookland, Arkansas, and Sara Hulett of Fayetteville, Arkansas; one sister, Brenda Davis and husband, Jim, of Beebe, Arkansas; ten grandchildren, Jack Baltz, Sadie Baltz, Josie Baltz, Thomas Baltz, Luke Baltz, Leo Baltz, Hattie Baltz, Lillie Baltz, Harper Newman, and Knox Newman; and a lifetime of friends. Friends may visit at the funeral home Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Jackson's Newport Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Swifton Cemetery. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Jim Davis, Jr., Junior Hulett, Chris Hulett, Barry Hulett, Todd Hulett, and Jack Baltz. Honorary pallbearers are Gideons International of Arkansas Members.
