Lois Ozetta Cole

Lois Ozetta Cole, 90, passed away on March 30, 2017. She was born January 19, 1927 in Little Rock Arkansas to Minnie Beatrice Guydon Cole and King David Cole. Lois was the first born of this union; she was preceded in death by her younger brother, King David Cole Junior. Lois graduated from Dunbar High School and attended Arkansas A&M College in Pine Bluff Arkansas before leaving to marry Thomas Samuel Johnson. They had four children: Sandra, John, David, and Thomas Junior. Lois was employed by the Little Rock Housing Authority for most of her working life. She started her career as a clerk-typist in the early 60's and worked her way up to managing Housing Projects throughout the city. Lois ended her career with the Housing Authority as an administrator in the Authority's main office in 1996. Lois enjoyed reading, movies and, even though she learned to cook late in life, she took great pleasure in cooking and entertaining for family gatherings at her home in Little Rock. (Expand?) She is survived by her second husband, William Cole; and by her daughter, Sandra Fantroy; sons: John, David and Thomas Johnson; grandchildren, Jonathan Fantroy, Angela Fantroy, Kevin Johnson, Andrea Johnson, Michael Johnson, April Johnson, Melinda Johnson; and great-grandchildren: Jonathan Fantroy, Jer'Miah Fantroy, Aniyah Johnson and Zyan George. Home going services will be held Saturday, April 8, 2017, 12 noon, at Cross Street Christian Church, 1223 Cross Street, Little Rock, Ark. Interment will follow at Haven of Rest Cemetery.
