Paul Pennell Martin, Jr.

Paul P. Martin, Jr., 92, of Bella Vista, Ark. died peacefully at home on April 2, 2017. Paul was born July 22, 1924 to Paul P. Martin, Sr. and Myrtle I. (Stanford) Martin in Maywood, IL. He graduated from Proviso East in Maywood, Illinois and attended the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago. Paul proudly served in the U.S. Navy, during WWII. He met his wife of 68 years, Marion in 1947 and married June 25, 1949. Paul worked in the crop and farm division of Great American Insurance Company for 40 years, retiring in 1989. Paul was dearly loved by his family and was very dedicated to them. He had a passion for automobiles, gardening, camping, traveling and was an active member of Bella Vista Lutheran Church for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Stanford E. Martin, Sr. He survived by his wife, Marion B. (Greinke) Martin of the home; daughter, Crystal F. Martin, Bella Vista, AR; son, Gregory P. Martin (Chris), Kingwood, TX; Heather L. Robertson (Ken), New Windsor, MD, grandchildren, Emily Martin, Houston, TX; Katelyn Martin, Dallas, TX; Christopher (Megan) Barry and great granddaughter, Piper, of Westminster, MD; Alyssa (Ozzie) Garcia, Fayetteville, NC; Casey Barry of New Windsor, MD and 8 nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 8th at Bella Vista Lutheran Church, 1990 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista with a reception to follow. Pastor Paul Hass will officiate.
