Lauren Michelle Reeves, BSN, RN, 24, of Cabot was tragically taken from us near Benton, IL. Sunday, April 2, 2017. She was born on December 21, 1992 in North Little Rock to proud parents, David and Julie Reeves. Although Lauren was only here a very short 24 years she always brought joy and a smile to everyone. She was the only granddaughter for her maternal grandparents. She joined her older brother Matthew to create the perfect family. While her family was in the United States Air Force she lived in Arkansas, New Mexico and South Carolina making friends on every path she took. After her father's military retirement, the family relocated to Cabot where she quickly made new friends and pursued the school's science track to prepare for her dream job as a Registered Nurse. She followed high school by attending Arkansas Tech in Russellville, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing 2014. While at Tech she also met her best friend Morgan Womack and they have been inseparable since. They both stayed active with school, hiking, boating, shopping and they have always kept their church as a priority. After college, she went to work at St Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock working in the demanding Neurosurgical ICU taking care of critically ill patients. Throughout her life she was given multiple nicknames by her family and friends including; "Neraul", "Lorraine", "Lauren Lou", and "Shawn Wei" just to name the popular ones. As summed up by her Aunt Janice, "She was the perfect combination of ornery, sassy, sarcastic, funny and had a huge heart." She is survived by her loving parents and older brother Matthew. She is also survived by her grandparents Wayne and Arlene Marcotte, Charles and Nancy Reeves; Aunt Cheryl and Rob Bajorek, Uncle Tony and Aunt Patricia Reeves, Aunt Janice and Robin Hansen, Uncle Justin and Jamie Reeves as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, colleagues, and friends in Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, and Oklahoma. She will be missed by the many people she touched and especially by all those who loved her. Visitation will be Friday, April 7, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home (501) 843-5816.
