Lena Shamlin

Lena Julia Shamlin (Toto), 95 of Little Rock, Ark. passed away Wednesday, April 5th, 2017. She was born February 2nd, 1922, to the late Charles Edward and Rena May Lockert. Lena was of Baptist Faith and loved her Lord and Savior. Lena was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Edward Shamlin, as well as her parents and other siblings. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, son, Lynn Edward Shamlin (Irene), grandchildren, Shelia Ison (Richie), Chuck Shamlin (Debbie), Andrea Lemoine, great-grandchildren, Gordon Brown III, Lauren Brown, Hunter Lemoine, Chase Shamlin, Grant Lemoine and Julia Ashlyn Shamlin, great great-grandchild, Laila Brown. Toto loved working in her yard, cooking for her family and always wanted the very best health and happiness for her family. The family would like to thank the Doctors and dedicated nurses and staff at UAMS Donald Reynolds Institute on Aging for taking such great care of Toto over the years. We are forever thankful. Visitation will be on Friday, April 7th, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Funeral Home, 5800 West 12th. Street in Little Rock, 501-661-9111. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 8th, 2017 in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Funeral Home and burial will follow at Ida Mission Cemetery on Col. Glenn Rd.
