Raymon B Caple

Raymon B. Caple, 82, of Bryant was born at Bauxite Hospital September 09, 1934 to the late Holland Edward and Ruby M. Vanlandingham Caple. He married Evans Hodge Caple on November 27, 1954. Raymon graduated from Bryant High School in 1952. One of his first jobs was driving the bus to school while still a student. He worked at Alcoa as a Master Industrial Electrician and Instrument Technician; retiring after 43 years. He was co-owner of Flowers by Evans for over 25 years. Raymon served in the United States Army from December 1956-58. He was a Sound Ranging Corpsman. Raymon was called back up in November of 1961 to February 1962 as a Senior Radar Operator. He was honorably discharged as a Level SP5 E5. He received a commendation for Marksmanship. He served in many community organizations including the Boy Scouts of America, Church softball league, United Methodist Youth, and others too numerous to mention. Raymon was a member of the Lions Club, Arkansas Florists Association Board, The Arkansas Flower and Garden Show Board and was the only Level 3 Advanced Master Gardener in Saline County. He was an advanced Master Beekeeper, Secretary/Treasurer of the Marvin Chapel Cemetery Association and was of the Methodist Faith. Raymon is survived by his wife, Evans Caple of Bryant, son, Ray Caple of Bryant, daughters, Susan (Ken) Gardner of Fayetteville, Sheryl Edwards of Bryant, Stefanie (Don) Campbell of Bryant and sister, Sylvia L. King of St. Charles, Missouri. Grandchildren, Michael Z. (Jennie) Edwards, Nathaniel R. Caple, Katelynn M. Caple, Laura C. Gardner and Jonevan A. Campbell, great grandchild, Kiley M. Edwards, a host of much loved nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. Also their much loved, "almost daughter" Cissy Dodd. Raymon leaves his Certified Canine Good Citizen dog, Honey Bea. Chapel services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 2 p.m. Saturday with Bro. Jeff Hulsizer officiating. Burial will follow at Martin Chapel Cemetery in Sheridan. Visitation will be Saturday, 12:30 p.m. until 2: p.m. before services. Memorials may be made to the Marvin Chapel Cemetery Association in care of M.J.
