Agnes E. Bennewise

AGNES E. BENNEWISE, 93, of North Little Rock died on Friday, March 31st. She was born on Nov. 3, 1923 in Duluth, MN to parents, William and Charlotte Marie Blamey. She married Glenn C. "Ben" Bennewise and later moved to Little Rock. Agnes was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for 53 years, belonging to the Altar Society and the Catholic Business Women's Organization where she made lifelong friends. She was also a true Minnesota Vikings fan, loved to travel and baked wonderful Christmas cookies every year for family & friends and loved her friends. Agnes is preceded in death by her parents; brothers John Blamey, William Blamey and Jerry Blamey; Sister Jule Garatz; her beloved husband of 59 years, Glenn C. "Ben" Bennewise, son Tom Bennewise, son-in-law Billy Peebles, niece Debbie Ramos and nephew, Edward "Butch" Bennewise. She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Peebles; granddaughter, Catherine Bennewise; nephews, John Blamey and Ron Garatz; her nieces, Bonnie Drummond, Lori Dornbush, Lisa Garr and Leann Jensen and her godchild, Lauren Coleman. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A special thank you is extended to the physicians and staff at Springhill Baptist Hospital and Baptist Rehabilitation for their kind and amazing treatment during her hospitalization. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 9th from 5–6 p.m. with Rosary from 6–7 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, AR. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 7000 JFK Blvd., North Little Rock at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 10.
