Evelyn Hallett Sears

Evelyn Hallett Sears, 92, of Morrilton passed away Thursday, April 6, 2017. She was born March 6, 1925 in Oppelo, Ark., the daughter of the late Edward Dow Hallett, and Mamie Alberta Mitchell Hallett. She was a cosmetology instructor at the beauty school, and was a member of the Oppelo United Methodist Church. She is survived by her son, Dr. Darrell E. (Bethe) Sears of Lincoln University, Pa.; her daughter, Sandra Sears Payne of Oppelo; grandchildren, Larry H. (Michelle) Payne II of Russellville, Chris K. (Brittany) Payne of Conway, Hannah Evelyn Sears of Ishinomaki, Japan, Jacob Morgan (Jessica) Sears of Williamsport, Pa., Dr. Sarah B. (Dr. Sam Zolin) Sears of Cleveland Heights, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Faith Payne, Ryder Payne, Gage Payne, and Riley Payne. Funeral services: 2 p.m. Monday, April 10, 2017 at Harris Chapel with Rev. Mike Atkinson officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
