PHYLLIS HAMRIN MCGREW, 90, of Little Rock passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2017. She was born in Fargo, North Dakota to Dr. S.A. and Margaret Hamrin on April 18, 1926. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Donald C. Hamrin, first husband, Russell Reinmiller, and her second husband, Carl A. McGrew. She is survived by a very significant like a daughter, Tammy Beck and husband Brent of Perryville, Ark., Tammy's daughters, Holly Rene Wright, Whitney Elizabeth Wright both of Perryville, Ark. and their family; a brother, Robert S. Hamrin and wife Kathy of Matthews, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives including many cousins from the Minneapolis, Minn. area. She was a lifelong Methodist and a granddaughter of a United Methodist Minister from Minnesota. She attended public schools in Evanston, Ill. and Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, Iowa. She retired from the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers in Little Rock after 35 years of service. She loved her job with the "Corps" and "her work family", and also volunteered at the Arkansas Art Center for 25 years. Memorials may be made to Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church, 4823 Woodlawn Ave., Little Rock, Ark. 72205 or to the Pulaski County Humane Society, 14500 Colonel Glenn Road, Little Rock, AR 72210. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 12 starting at 10 a.m. with funeral following at 11 a.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Court, Little Rock, Ark. 72205, with entombment to follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
