Helen Jo Roper

Helen "Jo" Roper, 93, passed away on April 10, 2017 in Rogers. She was born on October 11, 1923 to the late Thomas and Ruby (Mayhew) Roper. Jo graduated from Southwest Missouri State College, with a BS in Education, and received a MFA in Sculpture from Cranbrook Academy of Art. Her sculptures were created with a medium of copper, bronze and concrete. They are displayed at the Salt Lake City Public Library and the Stitt Group model home in Rogers. She lived in New Mexico and Utah before moving to Rogers, where for 40years, Jo had the pleasure of living on Beaver Lake. She will be missed by her friends and family. Arrangements are under the care of Rollins Funeral Home.
