Patsy Carol Witherington Clark of Bryant, passed peacefully into Heaven at Saline Memorial Hospital Hospice Center in Bryant, Arkansas. God must have wanted a new flower for his Heavenly Garden when He took her through his Heavenly Gates on Saturday, April 8, 2017. She was born on February 21, 1944 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to the late Willis Lamar (Pete) and Frances Jeanette Henson Witherington. She was baptized and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Dexter, Arkansas. She graduated from White Hall High School in 1962. She graduated from Henderson State Teachers College in Arkadelphia with a BSE degree in Home Economics in 1966. Patsy married Captain (USAF) Dennis W. Clark on September 7, 1968 at Central Baptist Church, Pine Bluff, Arkansas. During his career in the USAF, she made homes in New York, Virginia, California, North Dakota, Oklahoma and Lisbon, Portugal. Her home was always the center of activities for her neighbors and military friends in every place the military sent her husband. She was thrilled that their family was complete with the birth of their son, David Warren Clark in North Dakota, and their daughter, Stacy Anise Clark in Lisbon Portugal, She was proud to welcome David's wife and daughter, Laura and Avery and Stacy's husband, Robert Bouchard-Hall and children into the family. Patsy is survived by her husband of 48 years, Dennis W. Clark; her son, David Clark (Laura) and their daughter, Avery of Little Rock; her daughter, Stacy Bouchard-Hall (Robert) and children of New York; Dennis nephew, Roy Clark (Ruby); his nephew, Charles Francis (Judy) both of Grant County and his niece Barbara Stover (Ray) of New Jersey. Those privileged to know Patsy will remember her as a very kind and caring person who enjoyed making new friends and traveling the U.S.A. She enjoyed having friends in her home for a good meal and to admire her mementos of their travels. In the words of several of her friends, "she was a true Southern lady." The family would like to thank Dr. A. Krisht and staff of NSICU at St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center and the nurses of Saline Memorial Hospital Hospice Center in Bryant. In accordance with her wishes, the services will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to Dial and Dudley Funeral Home, Bryant, Arkansas. Officiating ministers will be Rev. Hammett N. Evans and Rev. Kim Hammer. Memorials may be made in her name to First Methodist Church, Bryant, Arkansas. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park Cemetery, Highway 5 North, Alexander, Arkansas. M.T.Y.-- L.T.T.
