Shelley Marie Petefish

Shelley Marie (Bray) Petefish, lost her battle with cancer on April 11, 2017 at Springhill Baptist Hospital. Shelley was born in Newport, Ark. on December 27, 1963 to Alton and Lou (Harris) Bray. Shelley graduated from Tuckerman High School in 1982. Shelley was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church in Jacksonville where she touched the lives of many people. Shelley's passion to work with youth was embedded deeply in her sole and nothing deterred her from helping a youth, any time, any place. Shelley is survived by her parents Al and Lou Bray, her husband of 19 years, John Petefish; 4 children, Rachael (Davidson) Garrison and her husband Adam, Matthew Davidson, Sarah Grace Petefish and Ann Marie Petefish; 2 sisters, Lou Ann Bray and Ann Marie Clark; one grandchild Katheryn Garrison; her beloved dog Sophie and a slew of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Those graced by Shelley's presence will remember her as a kind, loving, and compassionate woman. Shelley enjoyed flowers and gardening. She loved to be outside. Memorial services for Shelley will be Saturday, April 15, 2017 at the Jacksonville First United Methodist Church at 1 p.m., followed by a visitation celebrating The life of Shelley from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Youth Activity Center.
