Virginia E. Jordan, 88, of Tull, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Saline Memorial Hospital Hospital House in Bryant. She was born on October 8, 1928 in Malvern, Ark. Mrs. Jordan was a member of Saline Missionary Baptist Church in Tull where she sang in the choir and quartet and taught Sunday School and had been a Dept. Manager for Sears. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Garland Jordan; mother and father, Barney Dougherty and Erma Mallett Dougherty, and son-in-law, Larry Engelhoven. She is survived by four daughters, Deborah Lea Wilkins and husband Johnny) Catherine Ann Harrison and husband Johnny Mark, Virginia Gail Engelhoven, and Rebecca Jane Harrison and husband Dean; one sister, Vonceil Porter; two brothers, Charles Dougherty and Clark Dougherty; five grandsons, Quinn McCormick, Christopher Wilkins, Bruce Waters, Brian Waters, and Jordan Harrison; 14 grandchildren, Cole, Carson, Alexis, Kaylee, Lynnsey, Riley, Bryce, Breckin, Jacob, Damien, Paige, Evan, Jennifer, and Christopher, and many friends. Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Saline Missionary Baptist Church in Tull with Bro. Kim Hammer officiating. Interment will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Quinn McCormick, Christopher Wilkins, Bruce Waters, Brian Waters, Jordan Harrison, James Simpson, Don Bryant, and Lamar Taylor. Memorials may be made to the Music Department of Saline Missionary Baptist Church, 8210 N. Main St. – Tull, Benton, Ark. 72015.
