Herbert E Kling

On April 14, 2017, Herbert Edwin Kling, age 73 of Mabelvale joined the Holy Trinity in Eternity. He was a Christian by Grace and a Lutheran by choice. Herbert was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother and American. Herbert was born to Nelson and Marie Kling, May 1, 1943. Herbert was married to Barbara Jean Donaldson for 52 years. He was the father to three sons, Timothy Edwin Kling of Malvern, Herbert Jeffery Kling and his wife Brooke of Benton, Mark Stephen Kling and his wife Shawna of Mabelvale. He was the brother to William (Bill) Kling of Mabelvale and Edith (Sissy) Roberts of Bryant. The lights of his life were his grandchildren, Marlie, Kelsey, Kyle, Kaleb, Kenzie, Barrett, Sheppard and Blake. Herbert was a devoted Christian and family man to the very end. He loved the beauty of the outdoors and was in awe of God's creation. Herbert spent many years as a logger and retired after 42 years with the Arkansas National Guard and his country. Herbert will be deeply missed by all who knew him. The family would like to give a special thanks to Herbert's pallbearers, Kyle Sarlo, Jason Sarlo, Tom Gilliam, Rob Gilliam, Brad Besancon and Harry Walsh Jr. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Ashby's.
