Mildred Dixon

Mildred L. Dixon, age 92, of Little Rock, died Monday, April 17, 2017, at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock. A daughter of Jefferson and Velma Williamson Keltner, she was born on October 18, 1924 in Russellville. She was a member of Life Line Baptist Church in Little Rock and lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary in Conway. Mildred worked many years at the Eureka Steakhouse in Russellville, Hanks Dog House and Paul's Lamplighter Restaurant in Little Rock. On November 29, 1948, she was united in marriage to Harold Udell Dixon and they were married for almost 60 years until his passing in 2008. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Udell Dixon; one son, Johnny Leonard Dixon; four brothers, Billy Keltner, Robert Keltner, J. M. Keltner and James Leonard Keltner; and two sisters, Jewell Girtman and Emma Crow. Survivors include five grandchildren, Katrinka Mondy of Little Rock, Harold Oneil Dixon of Mabelvale, Lucinda Cathaleen Dixon of Mabelvale, Johnny Leonard Dixon Jr. of Mayflower and Shawn Michael Patrick Dixon of Kenosha, Wisconsin; two great-grandchildren, Geni Cathaleen Wilder of Maumelle and Larry Wayne Wilder of Virginia; one great great-grandson, Brayden Cooper Mimms; and a fur baby, Sammie. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 21, 2017, at the Shinn Chapel with Rev. Jeff Dial officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Russellville and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
