HELEN ROSE ZIMMEREBNER, 88, of Little Rock, died on April 20, 2017. Helen was born on Oct. 12, 1928 in St. Vincent, Ark., to Freda and Joseph Zimmerebner. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Marie, Angeline and Josephine Zimmerebner, Albertine Oswald, Ernestine Hum and infant brother, Andrew Henry Zimmerebner. After graduating from Jacksonville High School, Helen's work career began at the Credit Bureau of Greater Little Rock where she worked for 45 years. While terminal director supervisor, she successfully transitioned the bureau from the card file system to a fully computerized one. She valued her employees and motivated them to be the best they could be. Helen was a smart, gentle, kind and generous woman. She loved her family dearly and cherished her nieces and nephews as her own. Surviving her are: Vickey Metrailer (Jim), Karen Collins, Sharon Anthony (Clyde), Patrick Hum (Lisa), Gary Hum (Charlsie), Julie Sperry (Larry), Joe Oswald (Karen), and good friends, Joann and Lucian Kitta. She also treasured her great nieces and nephews and their children who gave her much joy the last few years. Helen's family expresses our deep gratitude to her doctors, caregivers, and friends who cared for, loved and laughed with her over the past three years. In particular, we thank Duana Flowers who was her rock these last months. Memorials can be made to St. Theresa's Catholic School. A rosary honoring Helen's life will be at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25 at Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth, 5800 W. 12th St. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 26 at 3:30 p.m. at St. Theresa's Catholic Church with internment to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
