Paul Rhoads Rickert

Paul Rhoads Rickert passed away on April 19, 2017 at Circle of Life Legacy Village in Bentonville, Ark. He was born November 23, 1933 in Naperville, Ill. Paul earned a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Arts and Education at Bradley University and completed his Masters in 1963. He taught for 30 years in the high school and community college levels. He served two years active duty in the US Army during the Korean War and then later served 20 years in the active reserves. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Yula Isley Rickert and C. Hobart Rickert and one brother, J. Holbrook Rickert. Survivors include his wife, Marion; his daughter, Arden; step-sons, David (Kerry) Stricker, Stephen (Arlene) Stricker, Thomas Stricker and Daniel Stricker; brother, Charles (Carolyn) Rickert; sisters-in-law, Ann Rickert, Ellen Allen; three nephews, one niece and four grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Peace Lutheran Church, 805 West Olrich Street, Rogers, Ark. Burial will be at 11:00AM on May 13, 2017 at the Naperville Cemetery in Naperville, Ill. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Peace Lutheran Church Food Pantry, 805 West Olrich Street, Rogers, Arkansas 72758 or to the American Cancer Society.
