Virginia Lee Squires, 89, of Rogers, died Sunday, April 23 at the Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville. She was born August 6, 1927 in Bentonville to Lee Olin Jackson and Thema Price Jackson. She was a lifelong resident of the area, graduating from Bentonville High School in 1943 and then marrying Ralph Squires October 22, 1948. She was a well known Gospel Music Pianist and a founding member of the NWA Gospel Singers Association. She was a member of the Dug Hill Cemetery Association, Benton County Cemetery Preservation Group. She worked for the Benton County Circuit Clerks Office and was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church in Bentonville. She is preceded in death by her husband and parents. Survivors are two daughters, Helen Hurst and husband Larry of Pea Ridge, Sally Vaughn of Springdale; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Service is set for 11 a.m. Thursday, April 27 at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Pea Ridge with Randy Featherston officiating. Burial will be in Dug Hill Cemetery in Bella Vista. Visitation will start at 10 a.m. before the service at the funeral home.
