William Lyle Seymour, 81 of Bella Vista passed away Saturday, April 22. He was born February 28, 1936 in Mineola, NY to the late Harold and Mercedes Consolvo Seymour. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Eileen Wilkinson and Joan Davis and by his brother, Bud Seymour. He made a career of proudly serving his country as a member of the Army, including serving as a medevac helicopter pilot in Vietnam prior to retiring as a flight instructor with the New York Air National Guard. He enjoyed building model airplanes, gardening and rebuilding warbirds at the Drake Military Museum. The most treasured times, however, were those shared with his family. He was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church and the Quiet Birdmen. For more than 50 years he was the loving husband of Janet Ernst Seymour, who survives. Other survivors include his daughters, Tricia (Debbie Wingert) Seymour of Bella Vista and Kristin Bickerton of New York; his son, Michael (Jeannine) Seymour of New York; 4 grandchildren, Sophia and Emily Seymour and Tyler and Lia Bickerton; numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. Services will be held in New York. Arrangements are under the care of Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home in Babylon, New York.
