Phyllis Eugenia House McGowan Tomblinson

Phyllis Eugenia House McGowan Tomblinson was born November 22, 1950, and died August 5 from complications of a stroke on July 2. She was the second child born to Herman Eugene and Flo Ella Turner House, who predeceased her, along with her first husband Glynn McGowan. She was also predeceased by her grandparents, Lloyd and Florence Cruthis Turner and Rube and Mary Smith House. She grew up in the Rose City area of North Little Rock and was a 1969 graduate of North Little Rock High School. She worked alongside Glynn at McGowan and Associates, their trucking and auction business until his death in 2006. She is survived by her second husband, Paul G. Tomblinson who she married November 20, 2009. She is also survived by two sisters, Linda K. House and Lydia R Lee, both of Little Rock; two brothers, Ronald H. House of Jacksonville and Jeffrey L. House Sr. and wife Kay of Lonoke; two nephews, two nieces and two great nephews, as well as one uncle Robert L. Turner and wife Mary Lee of Benton. She is also survived by her two "baby girls" Bingo and Button, her two miniature Boston terriers. The family wishes to thank all the nurses and other staff on 8H at UAMS who took such good care of Phyllis during the month she was with them and Sara and Hazel, the two nurses at Arkansas Hospice who were with her when she passed. At Phyllis' request there will be no funeral service. She will be buried at Old Austin Cemetery next to Glynn and her daddy. Phyllis loved flowers but because of her special love for animals donations in her memory to the Humane Society of Pulaski County, 14600 Colonel Glenn Road, Little Rock, 72210, or an animal care organization of your choice would be appreciated.
