Charles Blanchard, 67, of Jacksonville, passed away August 11, 2017, seven hours after his wife, Shirley, passed away. Born December 5, 1949 in Midland, Louisiana, he was the son of Alfred and Marie Blanchard. He retired as Master Sergeant in the Air Force after 24 years of service. He served in Vietnam and two tours of duty in Germany. He worked at Remington Arms and was a Pulaski County Deputy Sheriff. He was a 32nd degree Mason and was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Jacksonville. Preceded in death by his parents and his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Rose Marie Blanchard and Melony Moore of Jacksonville; one granddaughter, Melissa Renee Keene of Benton; one sister, Peggy (Roger) Schexnayder of Louisiana; nephews, Frank Taggart and Jimbo Taggart of Little Rock, Don Williams and Scooter Williams and niece, Millie Williams, all of Louisiana. Visitation will be Thursday, August 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. and funeral services on Friday, August 18, at 10:30 a.m., both at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 West 12th Street, Little Rock with Fr.
