Shirley Blanchard, 78, of Jacksonville, passed away August 11, 2017. Born September 18, 1938 in Little Rock, she was the daughter Thomas and Ethel Taggart. A graduate of Central High School class of 1956, she worked as a Little Rock Army Recruiter for several years, then worked as a secretary at Jacuzzi Brothers and as a realtor for many years. She retired from First Arkansas Bank and Trust in Jacksonville. She was member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Jacksonville, Jacksonville Business and Professional Women and Order of the Eastern Star. Preceded in death by her parents, she is survived by her husband, Charles Blanchard, who passed away just seven hours later; two daughters, Rose Marie Blanchard and Melony Moore of Jacksonville; one granddaughter, Melissa Renee Keene of Benton; one sister-in-law, Peggy (Roger) Schexnayder of Louisiana; nephews, Frank Taggart and Jimbo Taggart of Little Rock, Don Williams and Scooter Williams and niece, Millie Williams, all of Louisiana. Visitation will be Thursday, August 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. and funeral services on Friday, August 18, at 10:30 a.m., both at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 West 12th Street, Little Rock with Fr.
