James Travis Mabry

James Travis Mabry died 14 Aug. 2017 at the age of 60 in Rogers, Ark. Born 14 Jan. 1957 at Sacramento, Calif. He attended schools in Plattsburg, N.Y., Biloxi, Miss., Memphis, Tenn., and Peru, Ind. He graduated from McConaquah High School, Bunker Hill, Ind. In 1975 Travis joined the United States Air Force. Travis was trained and served as an Air Policeman. He was a member of the winning 1987 United States Air Force World Gun and Field Competition. During the Vietnam Conflict, he was an Instructor of a Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape Course. He is survived by one son an Air Force Staff Sgt. James Alan Mabry, sisters Darlene Owens, Djuana Mabry and Devora Mabry. Also by a brother Dalton B. Ray and his mother Lena "Lee" Mabry. Memorial graveside services with full military honors will be 10 a.m.; Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2017 at the Mausoleum in the Bentonville Cemetery, Bentonville, Ark.
