Bobby G. Ashcraft

Bobby Ashcraft, 88, of DeWitt died August 19, 2017. He was born October 24, 1928 in Grapevine, AR, to Kirby and Ara Ashcraft. He taught and coached in DeWitt, Eudora, Sheridan, Paragould, Stuttgart, and St. Charles. Bobby served as the Arkansas County judge for 10 years before retiring. He was very active in First Baptist Church, Lions Club and in the community. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 57 years, Wanda Jo Mills Ashcraft, brother, Billy Ashcraft, granddaughter, Joana Mills Bing, and nephew Gene Ashcraft. Bobby is survived by his children, Bobbye Jo Bing (Buck) of Austin, Steve Ashcraft (Ruth) of Vilonia, Jean Ann Henry (Clay) of Fayetteville, and Nancy Corley (Doug) of DeWitt; eight grandchildren Carl Mushrush (Dawn), Mark Mushrush, Chris Bing (Cheryl), Clark Bing (Kellye), Sarah Henry, Becca Bouldin (Kristopher), and Hannah and Tyler Corley; and four great grandchildren Grace, Carter, and Cassle Bing and Taylor Mushrush. Visitation will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 23 at First Baptist Church in DeWitt. Funeral services will follow at 12 noon.  Burial will follow in DeWitt Cemetery by Essex Funeral Home.
