Jason Robert Baker, 40, of Conway, went to be with his Lord, on Sunday, August 20, 2017. He was born Monday, February 7, 1977 in Conway, Arkansas to James Robert Baker and Linda Kay Nelson Baker. Jason graduated from Conway High School in 1995 and then attended George Mason University for two years, leaving to follow his passion of working in politics. He worked on the campaigns of President Bill Clinton, Al Gore, John Edwards, John Kerry, General Wesley Clark, and Governor Mike Beebe as an Advanced Press Consultant. His greatest campaign was helping elect his father county judge of Faulkner County. Jason grew up in the First Baptist Church of Conway. He loved water skiing, snow skiing and watching the Razorbacks. He lived his life to the fullest for all of us to see. Jason was laid back and he never met a stranger. He always had a smile on his face. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert H. and Charlene Herring Baker and maternal grandparents, Dale M. and Naomi Davis Nelson. Jason leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Jim and Linda Baker of Conway; sister, Monica Kay Baker of Memphis, Tennessee; and a host of other family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 22, 2017, 6-8 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Conway. Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at the church with Dr. Dale Wicker officiating. Interment will be at 3 p.m. at Bethel Cemetery in Glenwood, Arkansas under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Conway.
