Larry Wyman Goodson, 83, of McGehee, Ark., passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017. He was born on February 1, 1934 to the late Curtis David Goodson and Abby Lorene Gillespie Goodson. Larry was the most gentle man with utmost integrity and compassion. He had the ability to make you feel like the most important person in the world and treated everyone equally. He made every situation a little bit lighter and brighter. He was a devoted husband and treasured his family and cherished spending time with them whether it was camping, hunting arrow heads or just sitting on the back porch. He worked for the US Army Corps of Engineers for 34 years and was an Area Engineer of the McGehee office. Larry supervised construction contracts for the south and southeastern part of the state. He was inducted into the Corps of Engineers Hall of Fame. Larry was a member of the Gideon's International. He was very active in mission work and helped in building churches in Colorado, New Mexico, and Indiana. Larry was a member of First Baptist Church of McGehee, Ark. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandson, Aubrey Hopson.
