Earnest Yarbrough

Earnest Howell Yarbrough, 93, of White Hall, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 28, 2017. He was born April 20, 1924, in Black Springs, to Charlie and Ophelia Curl Yarbrough. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Yarbrough enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on small engines and helping his neighbors. He retired from Weyerhaeuser Paper Mill as a Digester Cook. He was a member of Free Will Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Joan Mann; his parents and brothers, Bill, Vernon, Arlie, Jurl, Leroy and Owen. Survivors include his wife, Vina West Yarbrough, whom he married on October 11, 1941, in Marianna; a daughter, Christine Bridges (Carroll) of Pine Bluff; a son, Jimmy Yarbrough (Dottie) of Pine Bluff; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be an hour before service at Cranford Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 3 p.m., Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Cranford Chapel with Reverend Jonathan McEntire officiating.
