Kelley Margo Burns, age 72, of Benton passed away Wednesday Nov. 29, 2017. She was born July 4, 1945 in Little Rock. Kelley was an Arkansas native, third daughter of Alta M. Kelley. Over her life she did many things, she was a beauty instructor at Clayton's Beauty College where she was sought out the most for her talent in styling hair. Later, she became a dog groomer and was owner of Paws and Claws in Benton, where she was very busy as her talent from hair styling, she was able to apply those skills to dog grooming. Kelley was involved in animal rescue and this was her passion helping her beloved animals. She was a wonderful loving soul. She was a wife, daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother and friend. She had a passion for life and helping when she could. Kelley will be greatly missed by her family. She is preceded in death by her mother, Alta May Kelley, her dad, James Kelley, sisters, Claudette Shadwick, and Emily Joy Kelley. She leaves behind a husband, whom she loved very much, Sammie Burns, Benton; daughter, Joy Allen, Mabelvale; son, John Price (Jamie), Bryant; sister, Florence (Art) Curtis, Centerton, Ark.; a nephew, two nieces, 13 great- nieces and nephews, her beloved grandchildren, Erica, Ross, Joseph, and Linda, her field relatives and many friends, step-children and their children. Visitation will be from 6-8p.m., Monday at Ashby's. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday at Ashby Funeral Home Chapel with burial at the Arkansas State Veteran Cemetery in North Little Rock.
