REGINALD W. "REGGIE" NALLS JR., 82, of Little Rock, peacefully left this life, surrounded by devoted family on Dec. 2, 2017. He is predeceased by wife, Jean Smith, mother of Debbie Schulten and Reginald Nalls III; wife, Teddie Houser, mother of Darlene Beeler, Reginald Houser, Blaine Houser and Timmy Nalls. He is survived by wife Sue, his children, nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and a multitude of friends. After graduating from Little Rock Central, he attended Harding University; then acquired a PhD in religious counseling. He served in the National Guard for two years. He loved his life of ministry in the Churches of Christ in Arkansas, Texas, and Oklahoma, preaching for 62 years. One of his many accomplishments was founding and operating the School of Preaching in Harrison, Ark., for many years. He preached a Sunday morning television program, "Life Is Worth Living" in Little Rock on KASN 38. He traveled to the Bible Lands twice, seeking out and visiting places Jesus had walked. In high school, he excelled in boxing, football, wrestling and baseball. After graduation, he pitched for the semi-pro Doughboys alongside Brooks Robinson. He continued his love of sports later in life by winning various state tennis championships. Services will be held at Ashby's Chapel in Benton at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Visitation will begin at noon, prior to services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Southern Christian Home located in Morrilton, Ark., or Hospice Home Care.
