Elizabeth "Liz" Anne Padilla, 70, passed over to heaven December 4, 2017 at her home in Springdale. Born January 29, 1947 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to Richard Leroy and Genevieve Ledbetter Niccum. The family moved six months later to Palms, California. She was active in dance, Camp Fire Girls, Carousels, drill team, Jobs Daughters, and Rainbow for Girls while growing up. She became Worthy Advisor of Crescent Bay Order of Rainbow for Girls. Before graduating from Alexander Hamilton High School in Los Angeles in 1964, Liz began working part time at Security Pacific National Bank in Culver City. This continued through college years at San Fernando Valley State. Banking became a lifelong career. During almost 23 years with Security, she became vice president of one of their branches. Liz married Joe A. Padilla on April 12, 1981. They moved from San Gabril, California to Springdale in 1990 where she worked for Digisource, Inc. in Fayetteville. The Padillas owned and operated Bronze Tree Realty. A member of Cardiff Avenue Christian Church in Palms, Liz attended Spring Creek Fellowship here. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and step-daughter, Marlene Ann Padilla. Survivors include one daughter, Lisa Ann Padilla Bernard and husband Martin of Rogers; and one granddaughter, Alexandra "Lexi" Marie Padilla of Rogers; one step son, Jason Andrew Padilla of Northwest Arkansas. The family wished to especially thank, Iris Collins for her loving care and true friendship that far exceeded her responsibilities as caregiver as well as all other caregivers. A memorial graveside service will be Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 11 a.m. in Friendship Cemetery with Dr. Rick Grace officiating. Memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
