Bobby Dale Buzbee, age 85 of Maumelle, Arkansas passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017 at his home. He was born on September 8, 1932 in Fordyce, Arkansas to his late parents, Edgar Andrew and Helen Koester Darling Buzbee. Bobby graduated from the University of Arkansas at Monticello with a bachelor's degree in forestry and worked for the Arkansas State Forestry Commission for more than 37 years. In addition, he was an avid woodworker, a member of the First United Methodist Church in Maumelle and a veteran of the United States Army. Survivors include his wife, Norma Jean Stone Buzbee; one son, Richard G. Buzbee (Catherine) of Little Rock; one daughter, Martha Graham (Glen) of North Little Rock; three grandchildren, Katelyn, Shannon, and Luke Graham; one brother, Richard E. Buzbee (Marie) of Hutchinson, Kansas; two sisters, Harriett Jane Reap of Katy, Texas and Joy Ayer (Fred) of Baton Rouge, La. and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. Bobby is preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Betty Jo Spurlin. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church in Maumelle with Reverend Beth Waldrup officiating. A visitation will begin one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at the Arkansas State Veteran's cemetery with Military Honors.
