William Brooks Bailey, 33, of Fordyce, Arkansas passed away December 9, 2017. Brooks was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on June 30, 1984 to parents Dennis and Karen (King) Bailey of Fordyce. Brooks grew up in Fordyce where he played high school football and baseball and graduated with the class of 2002. He was the first recipient of the Paul Bear Bryant Award in Fordyce. After high school, Brooks attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. He was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in the field of Finance. After college, Brooks went on to pursue a successful career in Business. Brooks grew up with a passion for the outdoors and was known as an avid duck hunter. Brooks was a bright light in the lives of family members and anyone else he came in contact with. Brooks had a way with animals, and spent much of his time horseback riding and dog training. William Brooks Bailey was a beloved son, brother and friend. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Dolon and Duene Bailey of Greer's Ferry. He is survived by his grandparents, Samuel and Georgia King; parents, Dennis and Karen Bailey; and siblings Morgan Bailey Thomason and Samuel Bronson Bailey. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Sam Adkins officiating. Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Shiloh Crossroads Cemetery at Greer's Ferry. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
