Charles Arthur Morgan, 82, of San Antonio, Texas passed from this life on Friday, December 8th in San Antonio. He attended services in San Antonio and he was very fond of his membership at Saluda United Methodist Church in Saluda, North Carolina, where he attended with Eleanor Morgan. Before moving to San Antonio to live closer to his son, daughter, and grandchildren, he enjoyed the mountains of Saluda, North Carolina and his life with Eleanor Morgan. He served in the U.S. Army as a Corporal Specialist (E4) and was stationed in Germany during the Korean War. His interest in the military was evident by the many books, movies, and documentaries that he enjoyed throughout his life. Charles graduated from the University of Texas, Austin with a degree in Architectural Engineering. Charles always worked as an engineer and he took great pride in his work as he applied his skills in the United States and for a short time in Saudi Arabia. Because of his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, Charles has passed into the gates of heaven, and has reunited with family and friends who have gone before. His remaining family in Christ rests in knowing they will see him again. Charles Morgan is survived by his son, Eric (Hongxia) Morgan and his daughter, Melanie "Melzi" (Michael) Willits, and brother: Horace (Kay) Morgan, sister-in-law, Larie Morgan, and grandchildren, Morgan Willits and Kirsten Willits of San Antonio, Texas, and Scott and Calvin Morgan of Fort Worth, Texas.
