Harold Dean Shipp, 80, of Winslow, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on December 12, 2017 in Rogers. He was born on August 11, 1937 in Hartman, Arkansas, Arkansas to Sherman and Lera Mae (Barber) Shipp. Harold was a family man who loved God and he impacted countless lives over the years through his ministry. He was very dedicated to his family. Each of his grandchildren were prayed over and rocked to sleep in his old rocking chair. He would often show his love for people by affectionately assigning them a unique nickname. Harold generously supported local churches and ministries throughout the area. Those who knew Harold most would tell you that he would spend many hours praying without ceasing and reading his Bible. Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Sherman and Lera Shipp; a daughter, Ruth Ann Shipp; one brother, Leo Dane Shipp; and one grandson, Cameron Dale Shipp. Left to cherish Harold's memory are his wife of 57 years, Linda (Holman) Shipp of Winslow; children, Janet Pickle of Fayetteville, Ricky Shipp and wife Tonya of Prairie Grove, David Shipp and wife Jody of Fayetteville, Becky Villines and husband Justin of Compton, Angel Harvey and husband Shane of Benton, Crystal Waggoner and husband Jacob of Elkins; two sisters, Shirley Mae McCarty of West Fork and Mary Beth Hyden of Berryville; 18 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Harold will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be from 7:30-9 p.m. on Friday, December 15 at Westfield Chapel Funeral Home in Springdale. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 16 at Faith Full Gospel Church in Bethel Heights. Harold's final resting place will be at Mountain Springs cemetery in Compton, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers please send memorials to the following churches.
