Patricia Jane Morrison Johnson, age 79, of Edmond, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2017. She was born to the late Robert Morrison and Geneva Crook Morrison on October 10, 1938. Pat graduated from El Dorado High School before attending the Ouchita Baptist University.  She was a member of Henderson Hills Baptist Church for the last 15 years. She loved spending time with her family and friends – whether it was spending time at the lake, traveling throughout the States and Europe or lunches after church service. Pat loved learning about the places she traveled to, immersing herself into the history of each location and visiting with the hosts and hostesses of each of the B&Bs. Pat was also a talented artist who engaged in many facets of the arts – She was active in the Town and Country Theater and Theater Under the Stars in Houston, Texas, as an actress, director and producer. Flowers were her passion including gardening, arranging and painting them. She made beautiful flower arrangements to decorate her home and to share as gifts.  She dried the roses and hydrangeas she grew to make potpourri and arrangements. Still life's of flowers was a favorite topic for her watercolors.  A passion for the last fourteen years was supporting Sherri Coale and the SOONER Women's Basketball team. Pat was an active member of P.E.O., a philanthropic organization where women celebrate the advancement of women. She was the current President Elect of the Volunteer Board for Integris in Edmond. Pat is survived by her husband, Rick Johnson of Edmond, her brother, David Morrison of Sacramento, Calif., her brother and his wife, Mike and Robin Morrison of Hot Springs, Ark., and her children, Lisa Thomas and Janet White of Toronto, Ontairo, Blair and Julia Thomas of Plano, Candice and Bo Barrera of Corpus Christi, Rick and Gaby Johnson of Manor, and Mary Johnson and Patrick Ressa of Houston. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank all of those who visited the hospital and helped care for her during the last month. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Baggerley Funeral Home located at 930 S Broadway (Edmond). A funeral service celebrating her life will be held the following day at 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Henderson Hills Baptist Church, 1200 W I- 35 Frontage Rd (Edmond) near East 15th Street.
