Gene Allison, 84, of Sylvania, Arkansas went to be with the Lord December 19, 2017. He was a retired dairy farmer, a business manager for the Labor Union Local 1282, and owner and operator of Sylvania Nursery. He served his country as an Army veteran of the Korean War. Gene was a member of Sylvania Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved all his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Allison of Sylvania; one son, Rodney (Jo Beth) Allison of Caddo Gap; one daughter Kay (Bill) Spence of Greers Ferry; one grandson, Matt (Trista) Spence; and one great-granddaughter, Jaci Spence. Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Evelyn Allison; two sisters, Bonnie Wilson and Christine Thornton; and a grandson, Clay Allison. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.
