Mildred Jackson Cobb, 103, formerly of Little Rock, died peacefully Tuesday December 5, 2017 at Country Gardens Assisted Living facility in Duluth, Ga. She was born in Lonoke, Ark., February 20, 1914, the 6th of nine children, including two brothers and six sisters. She was a savvy businesswoman and owned a dress shop, Mildred Cobb's, for 25 years in the Heights district of Little Rock, Ark. She enjoyed all the social events in Little Rock, was an active member of her church and until the age of 91, volunteered her time to teach children how to read, and delivered Meals on Wheels. She moved to Georgia 11 years ago to live with her daughter. Mildred will lovingly be remembered for her great sense of humor, her faith and love of family and sense of fashion. She traveled all over the world, collected antiques, loved to read and serve the Lord. She was preceded in death by her siblings, her daughter, Diane Daisy Cobb Eastabrooks, son-in-law, Philip Eastabrooks and grandson, David Eastabrooks. She is survived by two grandsons, Steve Eastabrooks (Kristin), Jeff Eastabrooks (Dana), granddaughter-in-law, Anna Eastabrooks, granddaughter, Sherri Layman, six great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandsons and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 29th at 1 p.m. at Roselawn Memorial Park. A reception for family and friends will be held immediately after the service at 24 Rosaires Way, Little Rock.
