Harry Carlisle Good died on Monday, November 20, 2017, at 99 & 1/2 years of age. He was born June 15, 1918 to Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Good in Belvidere, Illinois. Harry married Laura Virginia Reed of Little Rock, Arkansas on July 11, 1947. Harry was a devoted Jehovah's Witness, being baptized on October 15, 1941. Harry and his wife Laura served as traveling ministers, visiting many congregations throughout the United States. Harry used these occasions to provide encouragement and instruction for many. He was known for his solid faith and firm stand for Jehovah's laws and principles. His joy came from helping others learn about the Bible and the many promises contained therein. His courageous and faithful life course affected many, from the young to the old, and will continue to strengthen and encourage all he knew for years to come. Harry will be greatly missed as we reflect on his self-sacrificing life, happy disposition, and his tender loving care for others, but mostly for his God, Jehovah. Harry was preceded in death by his wife, Laura V. Good and his brother, David Good of Lavaca, Texas. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Carol Good; special adopted family, Tom and Terri Naney, Jonathan Brecheisen, Josh Lowry, and David and Marsha Garner; as well as numerous other dear friends. A memorial service for Harry will be held at Wildwood Park for the Arts, 20919 Denny Road, Little Rock, Arkansas 72223, at 1 p.m. on December 23rd. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Worldwide Work of Jehovah's Witnesses, online at www.jw.org.
