Dwight Dale "Dirty" Moore, 78, of Benton, God took himself, a devoted husband, superman daddy, playful pop, hands on uncle, and a generous friend on December 21, 2017. Dwight was born on January 15, 1939 in Benton to the late William Franklin and Laila Hawkins Moore. He was a member of The Gravel Hill Baptist Church and served in the United States Army during the Korean War and Cuban Missile Crisis. Dwight was retired from Alcoa as a welder. He was preceded in death by his half brother, Virgil Moore. Dwight leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife, Sherry Moore of Benton, daughters, Tanya (Tommy) James of Owensville, Carla (Jeff) Gottlieb of California and Kim (Kevin) Bell of Benton, grandchildren, Megan James, Aaron (Summer) James, Clayton James, Taryn Gottlieb, Tanner Gottlieb, Ally Bell and Gage Bell. Pallbearers will be Aaron James, Clayton James, Tanner Gottlieb, Gage Bell, Larry Payne, John Payne and Jeff Hulett. Honorary Pallbearers will be Randy Fortner, Todd Fortner, Paul Fortner, Jr., Bobby Fortner, Jason Himes and Ron Moore. Church services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 23rd at Gravel Hill Baptist Church with Bro. Gary Gipson and Clarence Shell Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be at Ashby Funeral Home on Friday, 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Family Comments: We hope you know how much you mean to us.
