James Kevin Mathew Bland

James Kevin Mathew Bland, aged 52, passed away on December 5, 2017 in Portland, Ore. He was born on September 27, 1965. Preceded in death by his father, Charles W. Bland, Kevin is survived by his mother, Barbara Bland of Little Rock, Ark. and his daughter, Hannah Bland of Portland, Ore. He also is survived by his siblings, Danny Bland of Marino, Calif., Michael Bland of Jacksonville, Ark. and Jennifer Yamin of Hendersonville, Tenn. Kevin Bland had many nieces and nephews, Kayla Myers of Modesto, Calif., Reid and Bryce Yamin of Hendersonville, Tenn. and Austin and Claire Bland of Jacksonville, Ark. A special thank you to Kevin's former wife, Diane Bloom of Portland, Ore, who remained his friend and a friend to his extended family. For that we are eternally grateful. Kevin grew up and lived in Little Rock, Ark. He graduated from Parkview High School and then went on to attend Henderson State University. Working in construction in his younger years, Kevin moved to Portland, Ore. to pursue a career in technology as a computer technician. Growing up, Kevin's family spent many weekends at Lake Ouachita. Kevin loved those times. Kevin's life was short, but his heart was big. We love you, Kevin. A private family service will be held at a later date.
