Lois Juanita Morris

Lois Juanita (Hays) Morris, 88, of Searcy passed away peacefully December 21, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 13, 1929 in Gravel Hill to the late Edward M. and Flossie (Stracner) Hays. Mrs. Morris was a longtime faithful member of Park Avenue Baptist of Searcy. She loved her church, her pastor and her fellow church members. She also loved her family and enjoyed them being at her home. She was most happy when she cooked for the family and had them enjoying time together. Survivors include her husband of 71 years on December 28 of this year, Bernice Edward Morris; her sons, Bobby J. Morris (Debbie) of Searcy, and Eddy R. Morris (Lyndia) of Mayflower; grandchildren, Ashley Malstrom (Derek) of Fort Worth, Texas, Brandi Green of Searcy and Leigh Ann Walker (Carter) of Conway, Arkansas; great-grandchildren, Macey Malstrom, Cole Malstrom, Austin Crawford, Wyatt Crawford, Greyson Green and Stella Walker; sisters, Shirley King and Reta Lewis of Searcy, as well as many nieces and nephews that she loved very much. She is preceded in death by her parents; five5 brothers, Julian, Redus, Eugene, Dayton and Donnie Hays; and four sisters, Lillian Moss, Geneva Jorden, Cleo Lawson and Dorothy Nier. Also a special thank you to the Staff at Providence, the Staff at The Crossing and Hospice for all the things you did for our loved one. You made life easier for her and your kindness will always be remembered. A special thanks to Doctor Jim Citty, for his kindness and ability to talk with her and make her feel at ease. Visitation will be Friday, December 22 from 6-8 p.m. at Park Avenue Baptist Church. Graveside service will be held at Memorial Gardens Faith Mausoleum, Saturday, December 23 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Park Avenue Baptist Church, Searcy.
