Harold Daniel Mundy, 90, of Austin, went to be with Jesus and family, entering his eternal home on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017. He was born to the late Aaron Mundy and Geneva Haynie Mundy Collier on Oct. 17, 1927 in Little Rock. A loving husband, father, and brother, Harold worked as a self-employed plumber for over 50 years. He was never rich in money, but was extremely rich in family and friends. He was a "people person", never forgetting the people he met and worked for through the years, and they all remembered him. Kids flocked to him and loved to sit on his lap. He helped a lot of people and was a very honest man. Harold was like a second dad to all the neighborhood friends of Danny and Benny, sitting outside in the lawn chair "shooting the breeze" with them and throwing the football. Harold was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Murnell Coleman in 1996; and his brothers, Aaron Mundy and Troy Collier. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Mae (Burnett) Mundy; two sons, Benny Mundy (Karen) and Danny Mundy (Donna); three step-sons, James Davis, Jerry Davis, Jackie Davis (Kim); one step-daughter, Karen Tucker (Ronnie); four brothers, Bill Mundy (JoAnne), John Mundy (Polly), Wayne Collier (Eva), and Richard Collier (Pat); three sisters, Alberta Cunningham (Eldon), Beverly Brooker (Marshall, and Doris Morris (Emmit); grandchildren, Tabitha Evans and Briley McDaniel; many other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends. Funeral service will be Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Ward, Ark. Visitation will be Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017 from 6–8 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Ward.
