F. Clementine Hembree, age 96, a resident of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2017. She was born the daughter of Edward Gervais and Emma (Carnahan) Seeley of Viney Grove, Arkansas, on March 22, 1921. Clementine married her husband of 73 years, Noble S. Hembree, on August 26, 1940, in Harrison, Arkansas. They had three wonderful children that were all born in the Washington, D.C., area. She was a member of Luther Rice Memorial Baptist Church in Silver Spring, Maryland, for 19 years, where she served as the Nursery Coordinator. She and Noble also worked for many years with the church youth group. Clementine and Noble loved to travel and spent several years exploring our country and tracing their family history before returning to live in Fayetteville in 1976. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Fayetteville, serving as the Preschool Director for 17 years. She was the founder of the Leisure Club and very active in the Senior Adult Program. Clementine was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She is preceded in death by her husband, Noble S. Hembree; her younger twin brother and sister, Sherwood Seeley and Shirley Luttrell; and her youngest sister, Anna Jo Bowling. Survivors include her three children, Edward Hembree and his wife, Jean, of Southport, North Carolina, Richard Hembree of Van Buren, Arkansas, and Barbara McClung and her husband, Neal, of Silver Spring, Maryland; daughter-in-law, Patricia Hembree of West Fork, Arkansas; 13 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of Fayetteville, corner of College and Dickson Streets, with an open viewing starting at 10 a.m. A private burial service will be held for the immediate family at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family has designated the Willard Walker Hospice Home, 325 East Longview Street, Fayetteville, Arkansas 72703, for memorial contributions.
