James "Jim" Langford

James "Jim" Edmond Langford, age 75 of Hot Springs Village, passed away December 26, 2017. He was born in Baytown (Goose Creek), TX to the late Travis Culberson Langford and Emma Myrtle (DeLawder) Langford on November 04, 1942. Other than his parents, Jim is preceded in death by a brother, Travis Allen Langford. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Jamie Lou Ross Langford, daughters; Kari Lynn Bryde (Walter) and Keli Leanne Davis (Kenneth), grandchildren; Jameson Lee Gresham, Caroline Addison Davis, Elizabeth Payton Davis and Ellison Margaret Bryde, sister-in-law; Joyce Langford and numerous nieces and cousins. Jim proudly served in the U. S. Army during Vietnam and was a Bronze Star recipient. He graduated with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Texas Tech University. After college, he worked for Celanese Chemical Company, Olin Chemicals and Tenneco Inc. After moving to Arkansas, he worked as the VP of Manufacturing for ENSCO (Environmental Systems Company). Jim then started his own business, EDLO Leasing, where he completed his career. During his younger years, Jim was a scratch golfer and enjoyed playing golf every chance he could. A celebration of Jim's life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 29, 2017 at Mountainside United Methodist Church with Rev. Dee Dee Autry officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice, 14 Parkstone Circle, North Little Rock, Ark. 72116 or Mountainside United Methodist Church, 310 Elcano Drive, Hot Springs Village, Ark. 71909.
