Sandra Lee Gore, 62, of Pea Ridge, Ark., entered Heaven, Friday, Dec. 15, 2017. She was born Sept. 1, 1955, in Bentonville, Ark., the daughter of Billy Lee King and Leola Pauline Bertschy King. Sandra grew up helping on the family farm, loved school and graduated as valedictorian, class of 1973. In December 1976, she had a blind date with the man who would become the love of her life, Jim Gore. He showed up on her doorstep in a leisure suit with a poinsettia in hand. She often recalled while laughing, that the only reason she went on a second date was because she was too nice to say no. They wed on May 20, 1978, and soon were expecting their first child, Brandon. They again were blessed in 1981, with a baby girl, Lindsay. She devoted the next 39 years to raising her children and caring for her home and husband. Sandra treasured her husband, children, and grandchildren, making holidays and birthdays very special for all. She loved spending time outdoors, walking, biking, and hiking. She equally enjoyed reading – often two or three novels a week. Above all else though, she loved surprises, loved to give, and was extremely generous. She was preceded in death by her parents. Sandra is survived by: her loving husband of 39 years, Jim Gore; one son, Brandon Gore and his wife Erin of Eureka Springs, Ark.; one daughter, Lindsay LaCaze and her husband, Dallas of Cassville, Mo.; two sisters, Cynthia Minardi and her husband Sam of Bentonville, Ark., and Nancy Chandler and her husband, Jimmy of Ash Flat, Ark.; and nine grandchildren, Zoe LaCaze, Andie LaCaze, Asa LaCaze, Eden LaCaze, Isaac LaCaze, Levi LaCaze, Kaylee LaCaze, Silas LaCaze, and Leola Gore. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Jan. 6, 11 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Rogers, Ark. Arrangements by Epting Funeral Home Bentonville.
