Calvin H. Williams, 87, of Dermott, died Wednesday, February 1, 2017. Mr. Williams was a native of Pelican, Louisiana and a resident of Dermott since 1952. He was a United States Army decorated veteran of the Korean War. He worked at Wells Lamont Glove Factory for over 40 years and he was a member of the Jerome Baptist Church. He loved his farm and gardening and he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He is preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Joan White Williams in 2004; his parents, Pryor Williams & Bessie Mae Patton Williams; a brother, Donald Preston Williams and two sisters, Doris Lookadoo and Marie Trask. He is survived by a son, Calvin Ray Williams and wife, Darla, of Springfield, Oregon; two daughters, Edith Williams Racy and husband, Dave, of Springfield, Oregon and Debbie Huitt and husband, Michael, of Little Rock; two sisters, Norma Kelley of Conway and Nola Thomas of East Camden; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services are 2 p.m., Saturday, February 4, 2017 in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ray Williams and Bro. E. W. Ricks officiating with burial in Eden Cemetery. Pallbearers are David Reaves, Ervin White, J.L. White, Joe Bittle, Preston Williams and Curtis LaGrone. Memorials may be made to the Eden Cemetery Association, c/o Jerry Stanley, 747 Hwy. 8 West, Hamburg, Ark. 71646 or to the Arkansas Children's Hospital, 1 Children's Way, Little Rock, Ark. 72202.
