Ovella T Simmons

OVELLA T. SIMMONS, born June 19, 1918, to George and Margaret Thurlkill, died peacefully at home surrounded by family Feb. 4, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, her parents and sister. She is survived by her son, Glenn (Madeline). Ovella retired from the Farmers' Home Administration after 32 years. She loved her animals, playing golf and crocheting. The family extends a special thanks to Arkansas Hospice, especially Jennifer Ramsey and Kathy Hatton, and caregiver Lois Durham. Visitation will be today, Monday, Feb. 6 from 5-7 p.m. at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. Graveside service will be Tuesday, Feb. 7 at 2 p.m. at the Lonoke Cemetery. Arrangements by Boyd Funeral Home.
